Today I thought of my blog- wonder if it's still there. Surprise. It is. These last several years have been a doozy to say the least. The last year and a half has been trying.
We are now grandparents to 21 and we also have a great grandson that is 2 named Asher.
In March of 2024 we lost our oldest son Ryan. He was riding a moped to work, a woman pulled in front of him and he was pinned under her car. On our 23rd Wedding Anniversary we learned he was brain dead. He was an organ donor and on the 19th was removed from life support so he could give the gift of life to others.
Since then we have not seen his four youngest children as she left the state of Florida with them. They are thought of every single day.
In November my husband's gallbladder ruptured. This led to removal of his peritonial dialysis port and 7 weeks of hemodialysis which I thought was going to do him in. He was able to have a new on placed in December and go back on peritonial and started doing much better. Then on January 20, he went in for a procedure to see about a perminate hemo port in his arm as a back up and he had a stroke during the procedure. Another followed in April and another in May. In March I had a mini stroke.
I have been off work as his first stroke sent me into a spiral. Trying to be a caregiver when I, myself, am dealing with depression, anxiety and an ADHD diagnosis I only recieved last year is a major challange.
